Review:

Here is a new tablet (Wopad) that might shake things up in the budget tablet segment.

The Wopad has its own strong points such as the multi-touch capacitive screen, a light weight form factor, and a great design, which along with the price makes the device an alluring buy.

On the inside, Wopad's Rockchip RK2918 CPU with a clock speed of 600MHz and capable of 3D acceleration can be seen doing duty. System memory stands at 512MB RAM while onboard storage amounts to 4GB. There is an external SD card reader that will let one to enjoy more storage space while power comes from a 3200mAh battery. The Wotab tablet also features an HDMI out port that will let one to play HD quality video on a compatible TV. Display is crisp and sharp and the tablet is responsive to finger inputs.

However, operating system is Android 2.3 which means its up o the users to upgrade to the more recent Android 2.2 Froyo. This when its the next version of Android or Gingerbread that everyone is waiting for.

All in all, not a bad buy for those who are on the look out for a cheaper alternative to the iPads or the Galaxy Tabs. The Wopad too, with its compact dimensions and a light weight of just 380 gms makes a strong case for itself.
